FAQ

Natural Greatness is a dry food with an optimal level of protein derived from meat, making it a protein that the dog's metabolism accepts without any problem, being a natural and digestible protein. It is much better for dog food to contain protein obtained from meat rather than protein derived from grains (no matter how low the protein level is read), as the amount of protein found in grain-based diets can harm kidney health. The kidneys can produce excess nitrogen, which can damage other tissues.

Ideally, for a dog or cat with allergies, you should feed them with one of our hypoallergenic and monoprotein recipes, as well as those categorized as "Sensitive".

Lamb Sensitive Recipe: Formulated with lamb as the only meat source, without grains, and highly digestible. Suitable for all ages and breeds.

Salmon Sensitive Recipe: Formulated with salmon as the only source of animal protein, without grains, ideal for dogs with skin or coat issues or digestive problems. Suitable for adult dogs of medium to large breeds.

Salmon Mini Sensitive Recipe: Formulated with salmon as the only source of animal protein, without grains, ideal for dogs with skin or coat issues or digestive problems. Suitable for adult dogs of mini to medium breeds.

Rabbit and Rabbit Mini Recipe: Formulated with rabbit meat as the only meat source, without grains, highly palatable and digestible, ideal for adult dogs with allergies to other types of meat or fish. Recommended especially for dogs prone to overweight.

Top Mountain Sensitive Recipe: Formulated with rabbit meat as the only meat source, without grains, highly palatable and digestible, ideal for cats of all ages and breeds with allergies to other types of meat or more common fish.

Natural Greatness does not add salt to its products because the sodium levels in our dry food are obtained from meat and are necessary for the proper functioning of dogs' and cats' bodies. High levels of sodium in food can cause hypertension, but low levels can also lead to nervous or muscular problems.

If your dog or cat is allergic to chicken, you can feed them our monoprotein or "Sensitive" recipes. You will notice that chicken oil is listed among the ingredients. Chicken oil does not contain protein (which is the cause of allergies); it only contains fat. Therefore, neither chicken oil nor chicken fat will cause allergies in your dog or cat. The reason we include chicken oil in our recipes is that it is rich in linoleic acid, an essential fatty acid that the pet's body cannot produce on its own.

The color change is because at Natural Greatness, we do not use colorants in our foods to standardize all production batches. The color of the food may vary depending on the season or the ingredients used. For example, in venison cans (wild animal), the color of the meat varies greatly from one piece to another, so the wet food made with this meat will have color variations.

Hypoallergenic recipes are those that, due to their ingredients, have a lower capacity to cause allergies. This is why it is recommended to provide a nutritionally balanced hypoallergenic diet for dogs or cats, limiting the number of ingredients and selecting a type of protein.

Analgesic diets are those in which, instead of limiting the number of ingredients and selecting a type of protein, a technique known as hydrolysis is used, which reduces the size of protein molecules (<12,000 daltons), thus reducing their allergenic capacity. Many veterinary reports recommend these types of analgesic diets, in which well-known brands carry out "hydrolysis of bird feather proteins" only in cases where there is a special difficulty in controlling food allergies. That is, extreme cases of allergies to a high type of protein. Since these diets are considered veterinary prescription, it is essential that during the period of feeding with this diet, your dog or cat is not given any other food, treats, or drugs with food components. Therefore, as a conclusion, we note that Natural Greatness hypoallergenic recipes are the most natural option to control (and avoid) "controlled" allergies in your dog. Although the molecules of the proteins used in our recipes are not hydrolyzed to reduce the number of daltons of the resulting protein, all our hypoallergenic recipes use ingredients with low allergenicity.

At Natural Greatness, we have tried to keep the price as low as possible while not compromising on product quality, using only the highest quality ingredients. If you feed your pet with Natural Greatness, you will notice that the recommended daily amount is lower than that of cheaper brands. This is because we do not use filler ingredients. Each and every ingredient we use has been selected for its health benefits for your dog or cat. Therefore, a bag of Natural Greatness will last longer than a bag of another brand. Additionally, feeding your dog or cat with Natural Greatness will help you avoid many trips to the vet due to lower-quality nutrition.

No, Natural Greatness only uses natural preservatives, including rosemary or Vitamins C and E (tocopherol), declared as rich extracts of natural origin.

Diet plays a vital role in your pet's life. Through diet, your dog or cat needs to get everything their body needs, from the energy required for daily activities to the wide variety of nutrients that help form tissues and maintain all cellular processes. Too much or too little of any nutrient can quickly cause disorders, and introducing inappropriate nutrients into the diet can lead to health problems. Therefore, from weaning to old age, diet is the key factor that will determine the quality and length of your pet's life. All Natural Greatness recipes are made with high-quality and highly digestible natural ingredients. For this reason, any NATURAL Greatness recipe helps your pet have healthy skin, shiny fur, and increased vitality.

Yes, we incorporate natural prebiotics FOS and MOS, which maintain the balance of intestinal flora, stimulate the immune system, and strengthen natural defenses.

At Natural Greatness, we believe that hydrolyzed proteins, in controlled small amounts, provide some benefits to a dog's and cat's diet, such as increasing food palatability. However, the essential protein contributions must always come from meat and fish, which are the main ingredients in Natural Greatness recipes and are not subjected to any process that can reduce their quality. Hydrolysis is a heat treatment that reduces the size of protein molecules that cause allergies, theoretically making them too small to provoke these reactions in pets. What is achieved by subjecting food to this process is a drastic reduction in the quality of meat proteins. Feeding your pet with food where the main source of protein is hydrolyzed can cause long-term nutritional problems and even create new allergies or intolerances. In contrast, Natural Greatness uses high biological value meats with novel proteins, which are proteins from very uncommon meats used in pet food. These novel proteins are carefully selected to minimize exposure to potential allergens. Natural Greatness offers four monoprotein and hypoallergenic dry food recipes that use only one type of meat as the source of animal protein. These recipes are:

Lamb Sensitive Recipe for dogs: Formulated with lamb meat, without grains, and highly digestible. Suitable for all ages and breeds.

Salmon Sensitive Recipe and Salmon Mini Sensitive Recipe for dogs: Formulated without grains, ideal for dogs with skin or coat issues or digestive problems.

Rabbit Recipe for dogs: Formulated with rabbit meat, without grains, highly palatable and digestible, recommended for dogs prone to overweight.

Top Mountain Sensitive Recipe for cats: Formulated with rabbit meat, without grains, highly palatable and digestible, ideal for cats of all ages and breeds with allergies to other types of more common meat or fish. In conclusion, we advise you to use any of our monoprotein recipes mentioned above for your pet's nutrition. All of them contain both dehydrated and fresh fish and meat, always of human grade. This way, you will avoid future nutritional problems or new allergies.
